This event provided interesting perspectives from industry players in North America and Europe on the advent of quantum computing. We are excited about the prospects of higher computational power applied to drug discovery and personalised medicine.  Quantum computing is, however, just as dependent on accurate, scalable solutions to produce high quality data as classical computing, if not even more dependent, because we’ll have the capacity to analyse much more of it.  We want to apply that computing power to derive the right answers and not end up faltering on the inconsistencies and missing documentation inherent in real world medical data collected daily around the world. We must ensure we can disentangle accurate predictions from faulty ones, making it all the more important to clean up non-systematic errors in the data before feeding it into algorithms.
